In Temple Gardens, walk past the old yew trees and continue along "Beeches Way". After about 200 yards (metres!) you will come across a large Rhododendron in full bloom!!

I'll be on the case tomorrow. I don't suppose the cold snap will do it any good. I wonder at what time of year it usually blooms

Ask Tim or the Rangers. If it normally blooms about this time of year, then they will know. It may be the very mild January that we,ve had, that has brought it on.
